How to make healthy applesauce cake

Step #1) In a large mixing bowl, toss together the oat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

Step #2) Add the applesauce, eggs, maple syrup, avocado oil, and vanilla. Whisk until just combined.

Step #3) Fold in the raisins and chopped nuts if using. Let the batter sit for 15 minutes while the oven preheats to 350F

Step #4) Pour the batter into a parchment paper-lined 9×9″ baking pan. Bake for 30 minutes.

  • 1 ½ cups oat flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ¼ cup chopped nuts, optional

Instructions
 

  • Line a 9×9" baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, toss together the oat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
